In February the Advanced Vocal ensemble from Desert Ridge High school loaded up into a short bus and drove to NAU to participate in NAU's Jazz/Madrigal competion. Night before we left I was home throwing up and felt as if I was dying. We get up there and it is beautiful, almost as beautiful as our Sopranos! We performed in front of Greg Jaspere's, our clinical for the first annual Combined Gillbert Jazz night. We performed You can't Take that Away from Me, Voice Dance II, and Till There was You. We got a Superior Rating in Jazz. We then went to perform our Madrigals. We also got a Superior rating in Madrigals. Went to Oregono's Pizza before watching SxthWave perform. We (Candace, Nicole, Heather, and I) ordered a Pizzookie. I BARELY ESCAPED WITH MY Hand!!!! Note to self, never separate a woman from her chocolate. Went back to the hotel and had a blast, stayed up till 3 on watch duty. Mesquite boys are idiots. Had a killer snow ball fight before we left, I rolled Nicole into a huge snow pile and we were both covered head to toe in snow. She "loved" me after that incident. Jordan hit Sargent directly on the top of his head with a snow ball, best shot ever!
